- From the desktop menu bar, select Places > Home Folder to launch the Nautilus File Browser. Nautilus will open at your home directory.
- Select Edit > Preferences. File Management Preferences will display.
- Click the Behavior tab and enable "Always use text-entry location bar" by placing a check in the box.
- Click Close. The location bar is now available.
Note: Since this is a user-specific setting you will need to repeat this procedure for each user to enable the location bar.
