How do I install Windows XP on OS X using Parallels Desktop for Mac?

 Ensure that you have created a new virtual machine for the Windows XP installation.
  1. Ensure that the Microsoft Windows XP Virtual Machine is selected.

  2. Ensure that the Windows XP Installation CD is inserted into the CD-ROM drive then from the Parallels menu bar, select VM > Power On.

  3. Click inside the Windows XP installation screen then press Enter.

  4. Press F8 to proceed.

  5. Press Enter.

  6. Using the down arrow, select Format the partition using the NTFS file system then press Enter.
     Depending on the size of your partition, the formatting process might take some time.

  7. Press Enter to restart the virtual machine.

  8. Upon a successful reboot of the virtual machine, Windows XP will be installed.
     This will take approximately 45 minutes.

  9. Click Next.

  10. Type your name then click Next.

  11. Type your Product Key then click Next.

  12. Type a name for your computer in the Computer name field. Type an Administrator password in the Administrator password field then re-type the password in the Confirm password field. Click Next.
     Computer name cannot be longer then 15 characters.

  13. Ensure that Date & Time / Time Zone is correct then click Next.

  14. Ensure that Typical settings is selected then click Next.

  15. Ensure that No, this computer is not on a network, or is on a network without a domain is selected then click Next.

  16. Click OK.

  18. Click Next.

  19. Ensure that Help protect my PC by turning on Automatic Updates now is selected then click Next.

  20. Ensure that Yes, this computer will connect through a local area network or home network is selected then click Next.

  21. Select No, remind me every few days then click Next.

  22. Type your name in the Your name field then click Next.

  23. Click Finish.

  24. You have successfully installed Microsoft Windows XP in Parallels Desktop for Mac.

    Thanks for this man!!! I'm installing a computer in GREEK for a friend of mine... without these images I would not have been able to figure out what the heck those weird characters mean!!
