How do I install Parallels Desktop on my Mac?

Parallels Desktop for Mac is the first solution that gives Apple users the ability to run Windows alongside Mac OS X in a secure, isolated virtual machine.

 Parallels Desktop works with Intel-powered Apple computers only (iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook and MacBook Pro).

 Ensure that you have downloaded the latest version of Parallels Desktop for Mac before following the steps outlined below.

       
  1. Locate and double-click the downloaded Parallels Desktop DMG file (e.g. Parallels-Desktop-1940-Mac-en.dmg) to mount the disk image.

  3. The mounted Parallels Desktop disk image will display, locate and double-click Parallels-Desktop.pkg.

  5. Click Continue.

  7. Click Continue.

  8.    
  9. Click Agree to proceed.

  11. Click Continue.

  15. Click Close.

  17. From Finder, unmount the Parallels Desktop disk image by clicking the Unmount button.
