Parallels Desktop for Mac is the first solution that gives Apple users the ability to run Windows alongside Mac OS X in a secure, isolated virtual machine.
Parallels Desktop works with Intel-powered Apple computers only (iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook and MacBook Pro).
Ensure that you have downloaded the latest version of Parallels Desktop for Mac before following the steps outlined below.
- Locate and double-click the downloaded Parallels Desktop DMG file (e.g. Parallels-Desktop-1940-Mac-en.dmg) to mount the disk image.

- The mounted Parallels Desktop disk image will display, locate and double-click Parallels-Desktop.pkg.

- Click Continue.

- Click Continue.

- Click Agree to proceed.

- Click Continue.

- Click Install.

- Click Close.

- From Finder, unmount the Parallels Desktop disk image by clicking the Unmount button.
